Why does my site look fine on desktop but broken on mobile?
Because the classic Wix Editor keeps a completely separate mobile layout. When you add or move something on desktop it drops into mobile in the wrong place, and nothing warns you. That separate layout is exactly what I go in and rebuild.
Will fixing the mobile layout change my desktop site?
No. In Wix Editor, mobile layout changes stay on mobile. In Wix Studio, I make the fix at the phone breakpoint only, so larger screens keep their design. I check desktop, tablet and phone after every fix.
Can a desktop fix break the mobile version?
It can, because desktop changes flow down to smaller screens in Wix. That is why I recheck the mobile view after any desktop edit and correct anything that shifted before I deliver.
What if a fix has to change both desktop and mobile?
What if a fix has to change both desktop and mobile? Some things, like text content and images, are shared across all screen sizes. If a fix would change how your desktop looks, I show you the options and get your approval before I touch it.
