I work as a Development Officer at the Department of Agrarian Development, Agrarian Service Centre, Pottuvil, Sri Lanka. My role involves agricultural administration, farmer services, development planning, data management, operational reporting, and coordination with farmer organizations and other stakeholders. A significant part of my work includes collecting, organizing, validating, and maintaining agricultural and administrative data. This includes farmer records, cultivation information, fertilizer distribution data, financial records, project information, and other operational datasets. I regularly use Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze data, prepare calculations, summaries, tables, and reports, identify inconsistencies, consolidate information from multiple sources, and present findings clearly for planning and decision-making. My responsibilities also include monitoring development activities, preparing official reports and documentation, supporting agricultural development programmes, and providing information required for management and administrative decisions. Through this work, I have developed strong practical skills in Excel, data cleaning, data organization, data analysis, reporting, quantitative data handling, problem-solving, and translating complex information into clear, useful insights.
