I graduated with a minor in Japanese studies. I have reached JLPT level N2 and I am working on N1. I have been tutoring Japanese for more than 10 years and I am currently doing this side by side with ESL tutoring.

A class with me usually follows this plan:

1. Conversation Practice: I take note of the words and topics you struggle to discuss and we will have a few minutes conversation on a variety of topics.

2. Homework Checking

3. Grammar and Vocabulary Practice: I give you games and exercises on new words and grammatical patterns.

4. Discussion: We will use this time to discuss your habits when you speak, your common errors, the nuances of your speech and even the culture in Japan.

5. Homework: The homework will be custom-made. Depending on your needs and your goals, I can ask you to write simple essays (for those who need to improve their grammar) or even prepare presentations for our next class (for those who need to practice speaking).
