I am able to produce illustrations as you have described. I can also transform someone into a Star Wars character if I have enough reference photos of them. My knowledge of the Star Wars universe is extensive. Most of the time, I might need a reference. I would be happy to put in more effort if the character or the design needed some updating.
I find it very difficult to grasp what is happening when people offer me references to the Old Republic since they send me exact front or side images.
I believe I might much benefit from the armor names of the Old Republic characters.
The angle and attitude of the character reference photograph should be organic. It can be challenging to work precisely from the front or side.
