About this gig
Do you want to turn your hand-drawn sewing patterns into digital patterns for personal use or for sale, but you don't know how? Then this gig is for you. I will help you turn your hand-drawn sewing pattern into a digital pattern. To this, you will send me a scan of your pattern. The scan must contain reference measurements for me to scale your pattern correctly.
If you don't have access to a large-format scanner, I will teach you how to use a regular scanner to scan your pattern pieces. If you are using a picture of your pattern pieces taken against a gridded mat, be ready to supply some measurements to make this work.
Note: this gig is for digitising a single-size pattern and does not include digitising a multi-size pattern.
For an additional fee, I will conduct a thorough check on your pattern to ensure that seams and notches align, and that edges and corners run smoothly. I will then correct the pattern if necessary so that you have a pattern that works great.

FAQ
What software do you digitize in?
Depending on how I receive your hand-drawn pattern, I will be using either Adobe Illustrator or PadSystem.
In what formats will the pattern be delivered?
You can get the digitized pattern in Adobe Illustrator and/or DXF. Please contact me to let me know your preference. The DXF may attract an additional fee depending on what format you send your hand-drawn pattern.
Can I send my hand-drawn pattern to you by post mail to digitize?
No, I work with only scans or pictures of your pattern.

If you add on this gig extra, I will do a thorough check on your pattern to see if seams and notches align, and if edges and corners run smoothly. I will then correct the pattern if necessary so that you have a pattern that works great. Please, this does not include checking for fit.
Tell me more about the "Annotate my Pattern" Gig Extra
With this Gig Extra, I will not only vector-trace/digitize your pattern shapes but also type out the text info and annotations you have written on your paper pattern.
Can you also grade the pattern to other sizes?
I may be able to do so. A separate quote will be given if I have determined that I can grade your pattern.
I have photos of my patterns instead of scans, can you digitize that?
If accuracy is important to you and you want the digitised pattern to be exact, then scanning is the best way to go. I may be able to work with photographs, but it requires you to take a photo of each pattern piece, following specific steps to achieve accuracy.
