No, unfortunately. These platforms put me at the mercy of your permissions and other people you’ve granted permissions to (who might make changes to a document mid-edit or accidentally interrupt my access). I need a durable, static file to work with.

The nature of a .pdf is such that it's actually designed to prevent editing. I can mark up a .pdf by hand using an iPad and stylus, but this is more time-intensive than keying in changes. If you need editing on a .pdf, please message me before ordering to discuss our options and appropriate pricing.

Grammar software cannot judge context as well as a live, well-trained editor. For that reason, it will often make suggestions that are unnecessary, unsuitable or otherwise flawed. You should always trust a well-trained editor before an editing software.

A piece of writing can be continually edited. Even a published book can be edited—that’s why you’ll see things like 2nd and 3rd editions. I pride myself on returning highly polished, or at least very significantly improved, documents. However, another editor may have further ideas for development.

That depends. If you select the standard or premium package and ask me to target your copy for grade-school, high-school, or advanced readers, then yes, I can do that. However, I will not plug your text into a software and edit it until it hits a specific “reading score.”

Please ensure that you have markups turned on. To do that, go to the Review ribbon (or "toolbar") along the top of your screen and ensure that "All Markup" is selected and that under "Markup Options" you have "Comments," "Ink," "Insertions and Deletions," and "Formatting" turned on.
