What is your experience with reviewing resumes/CVs?
I had an internship in college where I spent 3 years working in an office setting alongside the director who taught me how to review resumes/CVs so I could learn what a strong resume/CV looked like. I also worked 3 years as a pre-med peer advisor and program manager for a pre-health program.
What is your experience with editing written statements?
I have 5 years of freelance editing experience where I helped friends, classmates, colleagues, etc. on essay and written statement edits as well as 2 years of professional editing experience working with students on their application and written statements.
What if I cannot afford your services?
I want to make receiving support affordable and I never want anyone to lose out on an opportunity due to finances. Please message me and let me know what you can afford and I would love to make it work. If you truly cannot afford to pay, we can discuss other options and how I can still help!
How do I schedule my free 15-minute consultation, additional 30-minute consultation, and/or essay advising meeting with you?
Once you purchase my services, I will reach out to you with a welcome message and a Zoho link so you can schedule a meeting with me.
How did you decide on the costs for your services?
My goal is to provide quality and affordable services. I spend 30-minutes to an hour on each paragraph (~200 words) and that doesn't include the time I put into providing general comments/advice. For 1000 words, it takes me 2.5-5+ hours of work. $70/2.5 hours = $28/hour OR $70/5 hours = $14/hour.
Why is the maximum word count for essays 1,000 words?
1,000 words = ~10,600 characters. For typical graduate-level/medical school personal statements, the maximum character count is 5,300. I doubled the character count knowing that personal statement drafts typically go over the maximum character count until final edits are made.
What package do I purchase if I need multiple essays (e.g. secondary answers) edited, but not my personal statement?
I would recommend the standard package which is for any essays up to 1,000 words. You can purchase this for complete essays (e.g. personal statement) or multiple paragraphs/essays (e.g. secondary answers) as long as you do not exceed 1,000 words. Please purchase add-ons if it' more than 1,000 words.
