I will proofread, edit, and make suggestions on any form of writing you send my way. Poems, short stories, articles, white papers, research....whatever it is, I'm here to help.
My proofreading and editing normally consists of a basic grammar check, followed by rhetorical and structural analysis. I will look at sentence structure, word choice, spelling, and voice. I will check your facts too!
Every piece of writing at its core is an argument, and I want to help you "argue your point" in its clearest quality. I will make sure that your argument is both known and understood by the reader, whoever they may be. Message me for more information on what I do, who I am, or what your project is.

FAQ
What kinds of writing can you proofread?
I cannot proofread or edit ANY form of academic documents. This includes college admissions essays. Please do not ask me to review any of those. I CAN proofread pretty much anything else. If you think the topics or themes of your writing may go over my head, please message me and we can discuss.
What credentials do you have?
I graduated from the University of Dayton with a BA in English - Writing and Composition. I currently write proposals for a small IT firm based in Ohio. I have been writing for my entire life, and proofreading papers, articles, and other writing for almost a decade.
What's your process?
It depends on what you send me. Short stories and poems I read linearly, but some projects might require that I jump around the document.
Will you make edits directly in the document?
Yes and no. It depends on what you want. I will always make comments utilizing the comment feature on Word, but I also might go in and make actual changes. If I do, I will make sure to leave "track changes" on so that you can see what I've changed.
Can you proofread other languages?
Simply put, no. English is unfortunately the only language I can read and write. I can hold a conversation in Spanish, but I certainly can't write an essay in it.
