Designed high-conversion book covers for self-published authors and independent presses, specializing in genre fiction and non-fiction. Worked closely with authors from concept sketch to final print-ready files, blending typography, photo manipulation, and custom illustration. Key projects and achievements: - Redesigned a thriller series for a repeat client, which saw a 40% increase in Kindle Unlimited reads within the first 60 days of rebrand. - Developed a signature illustrated style for cozy fantasy and YA fantasy titles, leading to three long-term publishing house retainers. - Produced both eBook and paperback wrap files compliant with KDP Print and IngramSpark specifications, with zero print rejections in three years. - Collaborated with authors via Trello and shared mood boards to refine concepts, reducing revision rounds by 25% through streamlined pre-design discovery. Tools used daily: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Procreate, stock image libraries (Shutterstock, Depositphotos), and 3D mockup software for client presentations.
