About this Gig
About to send your board to manufacturing? Get a second pair of expert eyes first.
A re-spin costs you weeks and money. Most of the problems that cause one are catchable in an hour by someone who's seen them before. I have.
I'm a physicist and hardware engineer with 7 years designing custom electronics end-to-end schematic, multilayer PCB, and firmware. I've reverse-engineered products from photos, designed ultra-low-power wireless boards, and taken designs to manufacturing-ready handoff. I know where boards go wrong.
I review your schematic and layout for: power and decoupling, grounding and return paths, footprint and part-selection errors, signal integrity, connector and mechanical issues, DFM problems your fab will reject, and missing protection (ESD, reverse-polarity, etc).
What you get: a clear written report listing every issue I find, ranked by severity, each with a specific fix not vague "consider reviewing your grounding" advice. Where it helps, I mark up your layout directly.
Send me your files and I'll tell you honestly what I'd change and what's already good. If your board is solid, I'll say so I'm not here to invent problems.

FAQ
What files do you need?
Your schematic and PCB source files (KiCad, Altium, or EasyEDA preferred; Gerbers + PDF schematic work too), plus a short note on what the board does and where you're stuck or worried.
How is this different from just designing the board yourself?
Many clients have already done the design (themselves, an AI tool, or another freelancer) and just want it validated before spending on a fab run. A review is faster and cheaper than a redesign — and if it turns out you need one, the Premium tier covers it.
What if you don't find anything serious?
Then you get a clean bill of health and the confidence to manufacture, which is worth the fee on its own. I won't invent issues to justify the price.
