What Odoo versions do you work for?
Over 14+ years of experience in Odoo Community and Enterprise editions from version 6 to the latest version Odoo 18 with knowledge of Technical and Database schema changes in Odoo.

Code Migration is important because if you are using custom Odoo functionality then it requires adoption in the latest version of Odoo.
Is Data Migration always required during an Odoo upgrade?
Yes, Data Migration is almost always required to transfer your business data like Customers, Product Master Data, Orders, Accounting entries etc from older version to newer version of Odoo.
How do you ensure the integrity of my data during migration?
Data integrity is important during migration as I do have a proven track record of writing Python scripts to migrate data and transfer to newer versions of Odoo.
Will my custom modules still work after the upgrade?
Standard Odoo upgrades do not automatically update custom code. Since the Odoo API changes between versions (especially moving to Odoo 18), I will manually refactor and migrate your custom modules to ensure they remain fully functional and bug-free in the new environment.
Can you migrate data from Odoo Community to Enterprise?
Yes. I specialize in cross-version and cross-edition migrations. Whether you are moving from Community to Enterprise or staying within the same edition, I handle the data transformation and schema changes to ensure a smooth transition.
How do you handle potential data loss during migration?
I follow a "Zero Data Loss" protocol. Before the final migration, I perform a test migration on a staging server. We verify all records (Accounting, CRM, Inventory) against your old system. Only after your approval do we proceed with the live cutover.
How long does a typical Odoo upgrade take?
The timeline depends on the complexity of your database and the number of custom modules. A standard upgrade usually takes 3–7 days. After reviewing your specific requirements and database size, I will provide a precise delivery timeline.
Do I need to provide access to my server?
To perform the upgrade, I will need access to your SSH/server credentials or a backup of your Odoo database (.dump or .zip). Rest assured, all data is handled with strict confidentiality and deleted from my local environment once the project is completed.
Will I lose any data during migration?
No. I take a full backup first and migrate on a staging copy, validating record counts and balances before go-live — zero data loss.
