It's hard to see your own manuscript clearly: to know what's working and what's holding it back. You need someone who'll tell you the truth without tearing you down. I'll assess your manuscript and give you concrete, actionable notes with real examples, on plot, structure, pacing, and characterization, from the big-picture architecture right down to the line level. I edit to professional industry standards and always with your target reader in mind.

Do you add proofreading?
Important Notes: This is not a proofreading gig but a deep dive into your story. I often do line editing on the first chapters to show what work is still needed, but I focus on the developmental edit.
Do you offer help with query letters and query packages?
I provide comprehensive reviews of query letters as well as the complete query package. Additionally, I offer assistance in researching literary agents. Please feel free to contact me for further information.
What genres do you work on?
I'm a specialist in crime fiction; I will find any holes in your plot and know how to keep the pace high. And I love to edit fiction, YA, romance, non-fiction, fantasy, Science fiction, self-help, and memoirs. I have worked on outlines and beat sheets. And movie and TV scripts.
