Mastering is intended as the last stage of music production and it can really elevate your mix quality to the best possible.
But Remember! The final result highly depends on the previous steps quality.
The better your song is arranged, recorded,and produced, the higher the level I can reach, and I aim for the highest one!
If you have a badly recorded and poorly mixed song, it is quite impossible to get a professional sounding result.
So again, please do not try to master poorly mixed songs, or not mixed at all !!

What volume level should the track have before mastering?
Honestly? Whatever you like, as long as it doesn't clip.
What type of file should I send for mastering?
Export your mix at the same bitrate and samplerate of your mix project. For example 24bit-48000hz, then send me this file. Attach the file during the check-in process. If there are multiple files or albums, you can provide a download link.
Can I send you some reference tracks?
It isn't required, but if you prefer to include one, make sure the reference track has been carefully selected, and, above all, ensure that the mix itself actually aimed to achieve that kind of sound, otherwise, it can be very misleading.
