What is the difference between alpha reading and beta reading?
Alpha reading is usually done on an earlier draft and focuses more on big picture story issues. Beta reading is generally done on a more developed manuscript and focuses on the reader’s experience, including characters, pacing, plot, emotions, and story flow.
What will your beta reading feedback include?
I will give you honest and helpful feedback about your characters, plot, pacing, dialogue, story flow, emotional impact, and overall reading experience. I will also point out areas that may need more development or clarification.
Do you edit or rewrite the manuscript?
This gig is mainly for beta reading, alpha reading, and manuscript critique. I provide feedback and suggestions rather than rewriting your entire manuscript. If you need editing, please contact me before ordering.
What file formats can I send?
You can send your manuscript in a commonly used document format such as DOCX or PDF. If you have another format, please message me before ordering.
Can you beta read only part of my book?
Yes. My packages are based on word count, so you can order feedback for a section of your manuscript or a complete manuscript within the selected word limit.
