Running an old Laravel or PHP 5 or 7 app? Old versions miss security fixes and block new packages. I upgrade your application step by step so it keeps working.
I have 7+ years of experience with Laravel, PHP, CodeIgniter and MySQL, including leading a legacy modernisation project.
How it works:
- I read your code and list deprecated functions, outdated packages and risks.
- 2. We agree the target version and what is in scope.
- 3. I upgrade on a separate branch, fix what breaks, and re-test the main flows.
- 4. You get the code and a short upgrade note with rollback advice.
Packages are sized by models and routes, so the price is clear. The first package is a plan only.
Not included: new features, redesigns, hosting setup, WordPress, or rewriting packages that have no newer version (I list them for you).
I use AI-assisted tools to speed up code reading, and I review and test every change myself. If you prefer no AI tools on your code, I will work without them. Please send a staging copy and test credentials, never production passwords.

Which versions can you upgrade?
Laravel apps on older versions (for example 5.x to 8.x, or later) and PHP 5.6/7.x code moving to PHP 8.x. Send me your current versions and the target you want, and I will tell you what is realistic in your package.
Can you migrate CodeIgniter to Laravel?
A full rewrite is a bigger job. The Basic package audits your CodeIgniter app and gives a migration plan. If the scope is large, I will send a custom offer before any work starts.
Will my app break during the upgrade?
I work on a separate Git branch, so your live app is not touched. I fix what breaks, re-test the main flows, and send an upgrade note with rollback advice. Apps without tests carry more risk, and I will tell you that upfront.
Do you need access to my server?
No. I work on a copy of your code, ideally a staging copy with test data. Please never send production passwords. If I need a staging database or test credentials, I will tell you exactly what.
Do you use AI tools on my code?
I use AI-assisted tools to speed up code reading, and I review and test every change myself. If you prefer no AI tools on your code, tell me in your first message and I will work without them.
