I hold a BSc in Information Technology and have spent my early career building real, production-grade software rather than following a traditional employment path. I founded SoftVortex Technologies Ltd, a registered software company, and have been building both client work and my own products since. Achievements Founded and structured a software company — incorporated with a full custom governance framework (multiple share classes, IP ownership provisions, founder protections), reflecting a serious, long-term approach to building software as a business, not just a service. Delivered production websites for real clients, including a bilingual (English/Swahili) site for an international education consultancy with full internationalization support, and a branded CMS-powered site for a consulting firm — both live and in use. Architected a multi-tenant SaaS platform (EduCore) from scratch, designed for schools across two curriculum systems. This includes a 7-package monorepo, 110+ passing automated tests, mobile payment integration, offline-capable data entry, and compliance-aware regional hosting — the kind of technical depth that goes well beyond typical freelance website work. Built pure-function business logic engines (e.g., an academic grading engine with zero external dependencies) — reflecting attention to clean, testable, maintainable architecture rather than quick fixes. Self-directed, full-lifecycle delivery — from requirements documentation (SRS) and sprint planning through to implementation and testing, on every project I take on.
