About this gig

One friend of mine who is running a small media business asked if I could help him with a mobile app for a website. He mentioned that the website is built on a zero-code service ghost.org.


After some research, we discovered that Ghost doesn't have a RESTful API. Without a proper API we cant build a mobile client. It took some time to research all possible options and workaround, chatting with support, and... no luck.


You don't know my friend. If he says that he needs an app, it means that the app has to be built. So we decided that we can develop our own backend mediator, who'll be taking articles from Ghost admin API, and will work as an API provider for our app. And... it worked well!


We made multiple iterations, improving our solution. Today, we decided to share this solution with everyone! We can build a mobile app for your Ghost-powered website. It will support:

- users login

- paid/free users content

- webhooks with realtime content updates

- advanced HTML articles reader

- publication in the AppStore/GooglePlay
