I will build a scalable token based design system in figma

About this gig
Most "design systems" you buy are just a color palette and a few components glued together no structure, no docs, nothing your dev team can use.
I build real TOKEN-BASED design systems: primitive semantic component tokens, so your product stays consistent, supports light/dark/multi-brand theming, and hands off to devs without guesswork.
WHAT YOU GET:
Real token architecture, not just styles on components
Figma Variables for color, spacing, radius, type & modes
Dev-ready export: CSS variables, Tailwind, or JSON tokens
WCAG-checked contrast ratios and touch targets
Docs explaining every token and how to extend it
Built to scale new components inherit the system correctly
WHO THIS IS FOR:
Startups formalizing before scaling, agencies handing off to devs, founders tired of inconsistent screens, teams migrating to Figma Variables.
HOW WE WORK:
1. Share brand assets or existing UI
2. I map the token architecture
3. Build components on that foundation
4. Deliver Figma file + docs + dev export
5. One revision round to refine
Not sure which package fits? Message me your product and team size; I'll tell you what you need.

FAQ
What's the difference between a "UI kit" and a "token-based design system"?
UI kit is a set of pre-made screens/components. A token-based system is the underlying architecture — colors, spacing, and typography defined once as variables and referenced everywhere — so the system scales and themes without manual rework. I build the latter.
Do you use Figma Variables or plugins like Tokens Studio?
Native Figma Variables by default, since that's what most dev teams now sync via Figma's REST API or plugins like Tokens Studio. I can also set up Tokens Studio if your team already has that pipeline — just mention it in your brief.
Will my developers be able to use this without a lot of back-and-forth?
Yes — that's the point. You'll get a token export (CSS variables, Tailwind config, or JSON) that maps directly to what's in Figma, so there's no manual re-guessing of hex codes or spacing values.
I don't have brand guidelines yet — can you still do this?
Yes. I can define the initial token set with you (colors, type scale, spacing) as part of the Basic or Standard package. It'll cost a bit more discovery time, so mention this upfront.
Can you audit/fix an existing design system instead of building new?
Yes, message me with the Figma file — I'll assess whether it needs a rebuild or a targeted token refactor, and quote accordingly.
What do you need from me to get started?
Brand colors/logo (if you have them), any existing screens, your target platforms (web/iOS/Android), and whether you need light/dark/multi-brand support.
