Completed Ethical Hacking Internship – Web Security Assessment I recently completed an internship focused on web application security and ethical hacking, gaining hands-on experience in identifying and analyzing common security vulnerabilities. Key activities included practicing vulnerability testing using OWASP Juice Shop and PortSwigger Web Security Academy, demonstrating Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in controlled environments, and performing non-intrusive security observations on real-world platforms within authorized bug bounty scopes. I also analyzed security headers, cookie configurations, and access controls while following responsible disclosure practices. Platforms reviewed: Khan Academy (HackerOne), DuckDuckGo, WordPress.com (Automattic), and Gravatar. This experience strengthened my understanding of ethical hacking methodology and web security practices.
