I worked at a YouTube focused media company where I gained hands on experience in creating and managing digital content for online audiences. My main responsibility was designing high quality YouTube thumbnails that are visually appealing and optimized to increase click through rate and viewer engagement. I created thumbnails for different types of content, including vlogs, gaming videos, tutorials, and entertainment content. I focused on using bold text, strong color contrast, and clear visual hierarchy to make each thumbnail stand out in a crowded feed. I also researched trending YouTube styles and analyzed competitor thumbnails to keep my designs modern and effective. Along with thumbnail design, I worked on other channel assets such as banners, video covers, and social media promotional graphics. I used tools like Adobe Photoshop and Canva to produce professional designs while maintaining consistency with the brand identity of the channel. I collaborated closely with video editors, content creators, and marketing team members to understand content goals and deliver designs that match the video theme and target audience. This improved my teamwork and communication skills, as well as my ability to take feedback and make quick revisions. I also gained experience in understanding YouTube audience behavior and algorithm basics, including how thumbnails and titles impact video performance. This helped me design more strategic and effective visuals that contribute to higher views and engagement. During my time at the company, I improved my creativity, time management, and attention to detail. I successfully handled multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality work.
