Do I need my own server or VPS for this?
Yes — OpenClaw is self-hosted, so it runs on your own VPS, not my machine. Any small VPS works (Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Vultr, AWS). Basic assumes you have one; if not, message me and I'll recommend a cheap fit (usually €4–8/month). I handle everything on top.
Which AI models / API providers do you configure?
Whatever you use — OpenClaw supports OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, and local models via Ollama. Basic includes 2 providers configured with your own API keys, so you pay providers directly and keep control. Unsure? Tell me your use case, and I'll recommend the best fit.
Is OpenClaw better than n8n for AI agents and automation?
They solve different problems. n8n is visual workflow automation (webhooks, CRM steps); OpenClaw is an AI agent runtime that thinks, plans and executes with tools and memory — great for open-ended jobs like research briefs. Many clients use both: n8n for plumbing, OpenClaw for thinking.
I already have Docker installed. Is that a problem?
Not at all — it speeds things up. I install OpenClaw into your existing Docker environment with a clean Docker Compose setup, avoiding collisions with your containers, ports or reverse proxy. Tell me in the requirements that Docker is installed; I'll verify it's healthy as step one, free of charge.
What credentials / access will you need from me?
Three things only: (1) SSH access to your VPS during setup, (2) API keys for the model providers you want connected, (3) a Telegram bot token if you want Telegram in Standard/Premium. Never your Fiverr password, registrar or bank details. Everything runs on your server with your own keys.
How do I know my server and API keys are safe?
White-hat, minimum-touch setup. I use SSH only to install and configure; keys stay on YOUR machine, never stored by me. I follow OpenClaw's official Docker images — no sketchy scripts. After delivery you own everything: rotate keys, change ports, revoke access anytime.
