The role required balancing lightweight design with structural integrity, ensuring the chassis could withstand dynamic loads experienced during racing conditions. Key achievements included: -Designing and assembling the race car chassis using advanced CAD modelling techniques. -Performing finite element structural analysis in Abaqus CAE to validate stress distribution and structural performance. -Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including powertrain, suspension, and manufacturing groups, to integrate design components. -Presenting the chassis design philosophy and structural calculations to the Formula Student UK scrutineering committee at Silverstone Circuit in 2022. -Successfully passing all structural safety checks during scrutineering allows the vehicle to compete.
