I will build a fast, native desktop app using rust and tauri

About this gig
Want a desktop app that's fast and doesn't eat up your RAM or your patience? I build native desktop apps that are lighter, faster, and snappier than the typical bloated alternatives, with real system integration: tray icons, keyboard shortcuts, file access, and native notifications.
I'm currently building and shipping my own commercial desktop app, so I've already solved the hard parts: packaging installers for Windows, Mac, and Linux, background processes, auto-updates, and keeping things running smoothly across platforms.
What I can build:
- Utility and productivity tools (trackers, converters, dashboards)
- System tray apps that run in the background
- Apps with local storage or cloud sync
- Internal tools for your business workflow
- Migrating an existing Electron app to something smaller and faster
Under the hood: Rust, Tauri v2, React, TypeScript, for developers who want to know the stack.
Not sure if this is the right approach for your idea? Send me what you're trying to build and I'll tell you honestly whether it's a fit, plus what it'll take to ship it.

FAQ
Why Tauri instead of Electron?
Tauri apps are typically 10-20x smaller and use far less RAM since they use the OS's native webview instead of bundling Chromium.
Can you convert my existing web app into a desktop app?
Yes - if it's React/Vue/vanilla JS, I can usually wrap and adapt it.
Do you handle code signing / app store packaging?
Basic signing guidance included; full notarization (Mac) or store submission is a separate add-on.
