Hi! My name is Robert Ruby, and Im obsessed with bringing music ideas come to life. Ive been a full-time freelance musician in Hollywood, Los Angeles since 2017, and its my dream job.

Broadway, musical theatre, and showtunes are some of my specialties as a musician! I've always been influenced by pop, jazz, and classical music- as well as music with a sense of sophistication and drama. I love working in more of a Rock Opera style, like Spring Awakening or Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Or in a more classic musical style, like music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Schwartz, and the musical Dear Evan Hansen.

I've worked on a few musicals that are being developed, and helped them discover their unique "sound" as well as arranged and produced their music. As well as produced music for songwriters that has been streamed 100k's of times on Spotify/Youtube.

I work in a pro-level LA recording studio with top-of-the-line equipment. I always put the focus on musicality. I'm really knowledgeable about music theory, melodies, and a huge range of genres.
