I will build a secure rest API backend with node js, express and postgresql

About this gig
Already have a frontend and need a backend that won't fall over?
I build secure REST APIs in Node.js and Express, backed by PostgreSQL or MongoDB clean data models, proper error handling, and docs you could hand to another developer.
WHAT YOU GET
REST APIs versioned endpoints, input validation, consistent error responses.
Database design PostgreSQL with Prisma or MongoDB with Mongoose. Schemas built to grow.
Auth and permissions JWT or session auth, OAuth logins, role-based access control.
Payments Stripe integration with webhook handling, so failed charges don't vanish silently.
Third-party APIs email, storage, SMS, or whatever your product depends on.
Docs and deployment Postman or Swagger collection, environment setup, deployed and live.
RECENTLY BUILT
- Order and inventory APIs for a B2B commerce platform with role-based admin access
- A booking backend with a state machine, payments and multi-role permissions
- Analytics APIs handling click tracking and aggregation
HOW IT WORKS
Send me your frontend, schema, or just a description of what the API should do. I'll say honestly whether it fits a package or needs a custom offer.
Let's scope your backend.

FAQ
What if my project is bigger than the Premium package?
Most real backends are. Message me with what you need — the endpoints, the data model, any integrations — and I'll send a custom offer with a fixed price and timeline. No obligation, and I'd rather scope it properly than have us both discover mid-build that the package didn't fit.
Can you work with my existing frontend?
Yes, that's what this gig is for. Send me the repo, the API contract you need, or even just screenshots of the screens and what data each one needs. I'll build endpoints that match how your frontend actually consumes them.
Should I use PostgreSQL or MongoDB?
Postgres if your data is relational — orders, users, inventory, anything with real relationships and constraints. MongoDB if your documents vary in shape or you're moving fast on an early product. Tell me what you're building and I'll recommend one rather than letting you guess.
Do I get API documentation?
Yes, with every package. You get a Postman collection or Swagger spec covering every endpoint, plus environment setup instructions. Another developer should be able to pick it up without asking me anything.
Can you deploy it for me?
Deployment is included in Premium. On Basic and Standard it's available as an extra. I work with Railway, Render, Vercel and standard VPS setups — tell me where it's going and I'll handle environment variables, database connection and the build.
Will I own the code?
Completely. Full source repository, commented, with a README covering setup and environment variables. No licensing, no lock-in, no dependency on me to keep it running.
Can you fix or take over an existing backend?
Sometimes. Send me the repo first so I can look before either of us commits — inherited codebases vary enormously and I'd rather assess than guess. If it's built on something I don't work with, or the state of it means a rebuild is cheaper than a rescue, I'll tell you that instead of taking the orde
