About this Gig
This level of editing improves tone, flow, clarity, and language use. It includes:
- Rewording awkward phrasing
- Eliminating redundancies
- Adjusting sentence structure
- Refining pacing and rhythm
- Flagging inconsistencies
- Verifying statement accuracy
- Preserving writer voice
Line editing does NOT address major plot or structural issues, nor does it correct mechanical errors. Note that this is the only level of editing that allows for substantial rewriting of phrases, sentences, and paragraphs as needed.
You'll receive two copies of your edited manuscript: one displaying every change and comment I've made using Track Changes, and a second copy with my changes applied but the comments still visible. That way, you can easily find and address any issues.
DISCLAIMER: All edits are merely suggestions, and as the author, it's your choice whether or not to implement any changes.

What genres do you work with?
My specialties are high fantasy and cozy fantasy, although any fantasy subgenre is sure to snag my interest. I also dabble in science fiction from time to time and am open to other genres, as well.
What file formats do you accept?
I work primarily in Microsoft Word using Track Changes and accept .doc or .docx files.
Will you edit sexually explicit scenes?
Absolutely! I love these types of scenes and am very skilled at making sure no one ends up with, say, three arms.
Do you offer developmental/structural editing?
Not at this time, but check back soon!
What's your stance on AI?
I do not accept manuscripts written using AI, and I do not edit using AI.
Do you accept payment plans?
If the cost of a project is too high for you to pay at one time, please send me a message so we can break it into multiple, smaller projects that are more affordable.
Can I get a sample edit?
Yes, absolutely! Before placing an order, please send me up to 1,200 words of your manuscript so you can get an idea of the quality of my editing. I'll typically have this done and back to you within 24 hours.
