I will do fea, crash, fatigue and vibration analysis in ansys, ls dyna and solidworks

Hey. I do FEA and explicit dynamics full time. Brackets, CubeSat frames, composite panels, aircraft struts, crash tubes, drop tests, blast panels, friction stir welding.

FEA looks convincing even when it is wrong. Wrong mesh, wrong contact, wrong constraint and the stress plot is fiction. So before I write a word of the report I check residuals, verify reaction forces balance the applied load, run a mesh independence study, and confirm the deformation shape is physically sensible.

LS-DYNA is worse for this. Bad contact and the part separates silently. Hourglass energy over 10 percent and the answer is noise. Energy balance check on every job, no exceptions.
