About me
Welcome. I am Takanohane, a master Miya-Daiku (traditional shrine & temple carpenter) and original wood sculptor with 36 years of experience. At age 15, I began training under a legendary master awarded the Yellow Ribbon Medal by the Emperor of Japan. Carrying on this sacred heritage, I developed my own original hand-carving techniques—creating unique, one-of-a-kind art without electric power tools, using only traditional chisels and saws.
