About this Gig
Microsoft Fabric is new most teams are still figuring out how to use it
properly. I've been building on it since it launched, consolidating
multi-source energy data into a single governed reporting layer at my
current role.
What I'll set up for you:
- Fabric workspace structure (Lakehouse / Warehouse)
- Data pipelines to bring in data from SQL Server, Excel, APIs, or
- SharePoint
- OneLake data modelling clean, relational, ready for reporting
- DirectLake connection so your Power BI reports refresh near-instantly
- Migration support if you're moving from Power BI Import mode to Fabric
This is ideal if you're already using Power BI and want faster refreshes,
lower costs, or a proper data layer instead of scattered Excel files feeding
your reports.
I'll walk you through what Fabric actually needs (capacity, licensing) before
we start, so there are no surprises.

FAQ
Does my company need to pay for Fabric capacity separately?
Yes — Fabric requires its own capacity (F-SKU) or a Power BI Premium capacity. I'll confirm what you have before starting so we don't hit blockers mid-project.
Is this the same as a normal Power BI ?
No — this is the data engineering layer underneath (pipelines, lakehouses, modelling). Pair it with my Power BI Dashboard gig if you also need the front-end report built.
Can you do this without direct access to our systems?
I can guide your team through setup on a call if direct access isn't possible, but hands-on delivery is faster.
