Your site was cleaned before and got infected again? That is the normal

outcome when only the files are removed and the way in stays open.

I do it differently. Instead of matching known virus signatures, I compare

every core, theme and plugin file against the official release from

wordpress.org. Anything that does not belong shows up, including code that

no signature database has ever seen.

A recent job: the host's scanner reported one infected file. The

file-by-file comparison found four separate infections, including a fake

plugin that removed itself from the plugin list so the owner could never

see it, and executable code hidden inside the database. The host rescanned

after my work and confirmed the account was clean.
