1. Technical Strategy & Architecture Responsible for defining the "blueprints" of the ecosystem to ensure the web and mobile platforms are performant and secure. * Infrastructure Design: Selecting cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and managing server architecture. * Tech Stack Selection: Choosing the right frameworks (e.g., React/Angular for web, Flutter/React Native/Swift for mobile) to ensure code maintainability. * API Strategy: Designing a unified backend (RESTful or GraphQL) that serves both the mobile and web frontends efficiently. * Database Management: Overseeing data modeling, ensuring data integrity across platforms, and managing scaling requirements. 2. Product Delivery & Lifecycle The CTO ensures that the development team meets milestones without compromising on quality. * Roadmap Alignment: Translating business goals into technical requirements and sprint cycles. * CI/CD Implementation: Establishing "Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment" pipelines to automate testing and deployment for both the App Store/Play Store and web servers. * QA Oversight: Defining the standards for unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). 3. Security & Compliance Protecting user data is paramount, especially across multiple entry points (Web and Mobile). * Data Privacy: Ensuring compliance with regulations like GDPR, CCPA, or HIPAA. * Security Audits: Implementing SSL encryption, OAuth2 for authentication, and regular penetration testing. * Disaster Recovery: Creating backup protocols and failover strategies to minimize downtime. 4. Team Leadership & Management * Hiring & Mentorship: Recruiting lead developers, DevOps engineers, and UI/UX designers. * Resource Allocation: Managing the technical budget and deciding when to use in-house talent vs. outsourced agencies. * Code Reviews: Setting the standard for documentation and clean code practices to prevent technical debt
