If someone has filed an opposition proceeding against your trademark application after approval, I can provide guidance and advice as to defending the opposition. However, I will not formally act as your attorney because it can be a time consuming and lengthly proceeding. Instead, for each step, I can provide advice to you on how to proceed and review your responses and you can determine how long you want to continue fighting the opposition. Sometimes if you put up a fight, the opposer will drop the action. I am a licensed attorney in the United States but I am semi-retired now and do not want to fully responsible for handling the opposition. However, I can review the documents and tell you how to proceed under your own account. You would submit the responses under your own name. A flat fee is not possible because the length of the proceeding is unknown and the amount of work cannot be estimated. You also have to decide whether it is worth the money to fight an opposition. It depends on how much you really want your trademark. Sometimes it is. Sometimes it isn't. I am a former trademark examining attorney at the USPTO for over 25 years.
