I will review your tradingview or mt5 backtest for overfitting
Trading Strategy Analyst
About this Gig
Your backtest looks great. Will it survive real trading?
I check your TradingView or MT4/MT5 results for the 5 things that kill most backtests: costs, luck, overfitting, a few lucky days and bad data.
WHAT YOU GET (clear PDF, plain English)
- Verdict: holds up, fragile, likely luck, killed by costs or no edge
- Luck test that counts how many versions you tried
- Results at 2x and 3x costs, and without your 5 best trades and days
- Both halves of time, month by month, worst fall, losing streaks
- Data health check: history quality, duplicates, gaps
- Trade plan: a size that kept the fall inside your limit in past data, a daily stop and a 30 trade paper test
I NEED: your trade list (TradingView List of trades, MT4/MT5 report, broker CSV or a date and profit sheet) and how many versions you tested.
I do not sell signals or tell you what to trade. This reviews past results only. General information, not financial advice. Files deleted 30 days after delivery.
FAQ
Do you need my code?
No. Only the exported trade list. Your strategy stays yours.
Can you tell me if it will make money?
Nobody can. I show the warning signs. In our tests, strategies that passed these checks kept making money in unseen data about 2 times in 3, versus about 4 in 10 for an average backtest.
My strategy is always in the market. Can you check it?
Yes, and I will be honest: backtests predict that style poorly, so the report focuses on risk and size, not a prediction.
