NTJO and Enrico Pieranunzi: "Entropy"

For the first time Enrico Pieranunzi's compositions are performed and recorded in Italy by a jazz orchestra made up of young talents, the New Talents Jazz Orchestra directed by Mario Corvini. There are many works created by Pieranunzi for large orchestral jazz groups, starting from the 80s for Art Farmer up to the recent work created with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra. His music is adaptable to multiple interpretations: both in trio and in big band his melodies inspire new colors in the orchestrations. "Putting his old scores in order, Javier Girotto has rediscovered some music written more than a decade ago and still unreleased: muscular jazz, energetic to the point of paroxysm, passionate and third-world. Surprised by the freshness and timeliness of these notes, he decided to share them with a new generation of musicians, among the most talented in their instrument, presenting it to them as his own artistic legacy.
