Spine width is calculated using Amazon KDP's official formula: Page Count multiplied by 0.002252 inches for white paper, or 0.0025 inches for cream paper. Please have your interior PDF fully formatted before ordering so the page count is exact.
What file format is submitted to Amazon KDP for paperbacks?
Amazon KDP requires a single continuous PDF file containing the back cover, spine, and front cover combined, formatted in CMYK color mode at 300 DPI with standard 0.125-inch bleed on all outside edges.
What information do I need to provide before you begin?
You will need your final book title, author name, back-cover blurb, final interior page count, paper choice (white or cream), desired trim size (such as 6x9 or 5.5x8.5), and any cover imagery or style preferences.
How is the ISBN barcode handled?
