Besides common errors, I edit:

1. Clutter: When picking an apple, lift it up before twisting. -> When picking an apple, lift it before twisting.

2. Inconsistencies: Caden and Madelyn love apple cider, but Madalyn likes it piping hot while Caden prefers it slushy-style. (Madelyn or Madalyn?)

3. Factual and logical errors: After eating the apples he picked, he headed home, eating one on the way back. (Where did that apple come from?)

4. Publishing standard violations: He picked 4 apples. -> He picked four apples.

Hold it!!! Your voice needs to come through, or your writing will be added to the slush pile of generic works.

Soooo... Breaking the rules = okay if done intentionally.

All my edits are handmade. I use the "Track Changes" feature in MS Word or Docs so you can see every edit.
