I will set up bullmq background job queue with redis in your nodejs app

About this gig
Most Node.js apps handle everything in a single request-response cycle which works fine until someone uploads a large file, sends a bulk email, or triggers a report that takes 10 seconds to generate. The user just stares at a loading spinner, and half of them leave.
BullMQ moves these heavy tasks out of the request cycle entirely. Your API responds instantly, the job runs in the background, and the user gets notified when it's done.
Here's what I set up properly things basic implementations miss:
Retry logic if a job fails because an external API is down, it retries automatically instead of silently disappearing.
Concurrency control so your server doesn't spawn 50 simultaneous jobs and crash under load.
Failed-job handling: failed jobs are logged and inspectable, not just lost.
Delay and scheduling: send a welcome email 10 minutes after signup, not immediately.
I work inside your existing Node.js codebase using BullMQ and Redis. No new infrastructure required if you're already running Redis.
Stack: Node.js, Express, BullMQ, Redis, TypeScript.
Message me before ordering to confirm your setup is compatible.

FAQ
Do you need access to my codebase?
Yes — GitHub/GitLab access or relevant backend files are enough to start.
Do I need Redis already set up?
Redis is required for Bull Queue. If you don't have it, I can set it up as part of the Standard or Premium package — mention this when ordering.
Can you set up job monitoring/dashboard?
Yes — Bull Board (a visual dashboard for monitoring jobs) can be added. Mention this when ordering and I'll include it in the scope.
What kinds of jobs can you set up?
Email sending, image processing, PDF generation, webhook delivery, data exports, scheduled tasks — any background task that's currently slowing down your API responses.
Will this work with my existing Express setup?
Yes — BullMQ integrates directly into Express. Message me first if your setup is unusual.
