About this gig
I've spent 6+ years building production Rails applications APIs, background jobs, database design, the parts that have to actually hold up under real traffic, not just pass a demo. More recently I've been wiring AI into that same stack: RAG search, LLM automation, MCP servers that let an AI agent call into a Rails app safely.

Do you build the whole app or just specific features?
Both. I can build a Rails app from scratch, or drop into an existing codebase and add exactly the feature or API endpoint you need.
Can you add AI to an app that isn't built yet?
Yes, and it's easier than retrofitting — I architect the RAG pipeline or LLM integration in from day one instead of bolting it on after.
What if I already have a Rails developer and just need the AI part?
Common request. I can work alongside an existing team or codebase, you don't need to hand me the whole project.
Is this production-ready or a prototype?
Production. I ship AI features for a live SaaS platform with real users in my day job, and rag-mvp runs the same way.
What do you need from me to start?
A short description of what the app should do, and repo access if one exists. I'll come back with a scoped plan and timeline before anything starts.
