I will sync supplier feeds into your airtable listings with n8n

About this gig
Your suppliers send product or stock feeds, and your Airtable listings have to keep up. I'll build an n8n workflow that syncs them on a schedule.
First I adapt the sync to your table's fields. Then it:
- Matches items on supplier + their own item ID, so a repeat run adds no duplicates.
- Updates only items that changed.
- Closes items that are sold out or gone, records why, and reopens the same record if they come back.
- Skips a broken row (missing price, unknown type, a duplicate ID), names the problem and syncs the rest. That listing stays as it was.
- Changes nothing for a supplier whose feed is down, empty or unreadable, and alerts you in Slack.
- If over half of a supplier's 5+ live listings vanish from the feed at once, they stay up until they're back or you close them.
- Adds each new supplier with one mapping and a dry run.
Feeds can be XML, CSV or JSON at a URL that opens without a login or API key (on n8n Cloud, from the internet). For a feed behind a login, or Shopify, WooCommerce or another target: message me first.
Sample: a made-up storage marketplace and suppliers in my own Airtable base. No client data. Fiverr messages only.

FAQ
Do I need my own n8n?
For Standard and Advanced, yes. n8n Cloud is a paid n8n subscription; self-hosted n8n needs two settings and a mounted folder, which I'll list. I'll send click-by-click import steps in the chat. On Cloud, feed URLs must be reachable from the internet. Starter doesn't need n8n.
What if a feed is down or comes in short?
If it's down, empty or unreadable, nothing changes for that supplier and Slack alerts you. If over half of its 5+ live listings vanish from the feed at once, updates still apply and those stay up as Pending removal. If the next feed has them, they're Active again; if not, you close them in Airtable.
What access do you need?
Starter needs only a CSV export of your table. For Standard and Advanced, I'll send steps in the chat to make an Airtable token that only reaches a copy of your base. Please don't paste tokens in the requirements. Delete the token when we're done.
Can I still edit listings by hand in Airtable?
Yes. Fields the sync doesn't write stay as you left them. In a field it does write, your edit stays until that item changes in the feed (any field or its status). Then the feed's values win.
Will I pay for anything else?
Starter is a dry run on my own Airtable base, at no extra cost. For Standard and Advanced: self-hosted n8n, or n8n Cloud, which n8n bills you for. Airtable Free allows 1,000 records per base and 1,000 API calls a month per workspace; hourly syncs need Team or higher (50,000 records, 100,000 calls).
What if I have more rows or suppliers than my package covers?
The sync adds a run log table, a row error table and a few fields such as a listing key. I count your rows within 24 hours; if it's over, I'll send a custom offer, or you can cancel. For each extra supplier, add the Another feed extra ($150, +3 days). So 3 suppliers = Advanced plus one extra feed.
How often does it sync?
On the schedule you pick, for example every hour or every night. In my sample, every run was started by hand, so I check the report of your first scheduled run with you.
What if a supplier changes its feed format later?
Within your package, a revision covers one mapping change and a rerun. If a supplier with 5+ live listings changes most item IDs at once, nothing new is added, no missing listing closes, and Slack alerts you. After the order is complete, send me the new feed and I'll quote the change.
Does it handle images?
It copies the image link from the feed into a field in your table. It doesn't download, resize or upload image files.
