Built a custom external AI daemon for a Minecraft server from the ground up, including a real-time 3D OpenGL renderer, high-performance chunk and entity visualization, and a full packet mob system. Phase 1: Upgraded the server to Minecraft 26.1.2 (Java 25), rebuilt chunk rendering with greedy meshing and frustum culling, implemented VBO/VAO batching to eliminate renderer crashes, added live block-change rendering, and reorganized the codebase for maintainability. Phase 2 M1: Designed and shipped a complete packet mob system, daemon-side mob registry with Chronicle Wire IPC, ProtocolLib packet pipeline on the bridge (spawn, move, rotate, animate, entity status, despawn), keyboard-driven debug controls in the 3D renderer, and live mob visualization as a synced overlay in the OpenGL view. 33+ unit tests, zero real server entities.
