Most of my work is migrations: WordPress, Webflow, Framer or Wix moved to a self-hosted Astro or Next.js build. The platform bill drops to hosting costs and the repository is yours. FAQ
1. Will my Google rankings drop after the move?
Not if it is done properly. I keep your URL structure where possible and set 301 redirects for everything that changes. Meta data and structured data come across. Most sites get faster after the move, which helps rather than hurts.
2. Can I still edit the content myself afterwards?
Yes, with a package that includes a CMS. You edit text and images in a browser, no code. Tell me before we start whether you need it, because it changes how the pages are built.
3. My site is on a platform you did not list. Can you still move it?
Usually yes. I have moved sites off WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Wix and Squarespace. Send me the URL and I will tell you what is involved. If it is not worth moving, I will say so.
4. What does it cost to run afterwards?
Hosting only, which for most business sites is a few euros a month or free. No platform licence, no plugin subscriptions. The repository is yours, so you are not tied to me either. I offer optionally a maintenance contract - but that's not a must.
5. Will the site look exactly the same?
That is your call. The default is a like-for-like rebuild so nothing surprises your visitors. If you want the design reworked at the same time, say so up front and I will quote it as part of the scope.
6. Do you work in German?
Yes. I am a native German speaker based in Tokyo and most of my clients are in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We can run the whole project in German, including the handover.
