My technical writing is built on a foundation of 18+ years of experience in Food Science and Quality Assurance, where I created and managed internal programs, training, and other technical documents. I also blend in skills as a paralegal, business owner, fiction author, and curriculum developer to infuse narrative clarity and engagement into all that I do. Food Science in a Nutshell: I began my food science career as a QA Lab Specialist, Student Researcher, and Food Analysis TA at BYU-Provo. Following this, I served in QA/QC management roles at OSI Group and Basic Research, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards for global brands such as McDonald’s, Chipotle, and Costco. I wrapped up the last two years as a food consultant for an organic farm in Maui, where I streamlined processes and quality systems for Whole Foods distribution.

As a food scientist, I also managed plant-wide training initiatives for over 200 employees, developing company procedures and delivering PowerPoint presentations and on-the-job training modules covering HR protocols, job-specific functions, quality, sanitation, equipment handling, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
