How do I give you access to my QuickBooks Online or Xero?
Login into your QuickBooks Online account. On the top right, click the "Gear icon (cogwheel) -> Manage Users -> Accounting Firms -> Invite."
Are you familiar with Accounting Standards like GAAP & IFRS?
Yes, I always work in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
Usually what information is required to perform a bookkeeping job?
I need accounting firm access to QBO bank, credit card & loan statements along with all sales and purchase data in the right format. Requirements vary from client to client depending upon the nature and workflow of business.
Why do you ask for QuickBooks access before an order placement?
I make sure that the client's books are ready for the work the client is asking for. If I find discrepancies in the books, they need to be rectified before I start my job. I point out those to the client if the client agrees to rectify them. Then I will move forward.
How do you categorize expenses and Income without knowing my workflow and business?
I use bank/credit card statement descriptions for analyzing the nature of the transaction. But I don’t rely wholly solely on description and QuickBooks artificial intelligence. If needed, I will ask you about the transaction's purpose by preparing an Excel queries sheet.
My Bank/Credit Card account is connected to QuickBooks. Then why you need statements in PDF format?
Even your bank/credit card is connected to the QBO account. I will need statements for cross-checking transactions with QBO or Xero register, reconciliation and adjusting PayPal/Stripe fees appropriately.
