I’m Wayan, a master wood carver from Tegalalang, Bali and the founder of Wood Relief Carving. I have been creating custom hand carved wood reliefs since 1990. I specialize in transforming photos, portraits, and meaningful moments into detailed wood carvings made by hand. Each piece is carefully crafted using traditional Balinese carving techniques, ensuring high quality, deep detail, and a unique artwork that lasts for generations.

How long does it take to complete a carving?
Each carving is made entirely by hand by me. For carvings under 70 cm, the process usually takes about 3–4 weeks depending on the complexity of the design.
Can you create a carving from my photo or drawing?
Yes. I can create a custom wood carving based on your photo, sketch, or design idea.
What if I don’t have a design?
No problem. I can help create a simple design or my drawing for you at no extra cost before starting the carving.
What type of wood do you use?
I usually work with monkey pod (suar) wood, but other wood types such as teak or any other premium wood can be used if you set to extra services.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. I provide free worldwide shipping, and there are no duty taxes for the buyer.
Can I choose the size of the carving?
Yes. The size can be customized depending on your request. I can also recommend the best size for the design, but please take a note that size will affect to the final price.
Will I see the progress of my carving?
Yes. I can send photos or videos of the carving process so you can see the progress of your artwork.
Can I request a custom finishing color?
Yes. I can apply different finishes such as natural, dark, or antique finish depending on your preference.
