FAQ
What do you need to start illustrating my children's book?
Please provide your story or scene descriptions, preferred illustration style, character details, target age group, and any visual references. If you have a manuscript, you can share the relevant sections needed for your selected package.
Can you illustrate an entire children's book?
Yes, larger projects can be discussed through a custom offer. The price and timeline depend on the number of pages or illustrations, scene complexity, characters, backgrounds, and any cover or layout requirements.
Will my character look consistent across every illustration?
I use agreed character references and visual details to guide the illustrations. For larger projects, we should establish the character's appearance before proceeding with all scenes
Can you follow my own story idea and references?
Yes. Share your manuscript, descriptions, sketches, or visual references. I'll use them to understand your vision and confirm the visual direction before starting the agreed work
What illustration style do you offer?
Please review my gig portfolio for the styles I can demonstrate. Send me your preferred look before ordering so we can confirm that your project matches my capabilities.
Are book covers and Amazon KDP formatting included?
Not automatically. My packages cover the illustration deliverables listed above. Cover design, interior layout, KDP formatting, and other publishing services must be agreed separately
What file formats will I receive?
The listed packages include high-resolution JPG or PNG files. If you need print-specific dimensions, bleed, CMYK, layered source files, or other formats, please discuss these before ordering.
Can you copy an existing illustrator's style?
I can discuss general visual qualities you like, such as soft colors, whimsical settings, or expressive characters. I create original artwork rather than promising an exact copy of another artist's distinctive style.
Should I message you before ordering?
Yes, especially for a full picture book or a project with specific publishing requirements. Send your estimated illustration count and project details so we can confirm the scope, price, and delivery timeline.
