Alinea Performance – Custom Multisite Network & Breakdance Development Goals: To replace an outdated, bloated website architecture with a highly scalable, fast, and easy-to-manage WordPress Multisite network. The goal was to allow the client to rapidly deploy new clinic location websites with a 1-click synced template system while maintaining a pristine, modern aesthetic (including integrated Dark/Light modes). Challenges: The previous setup suffered from severe URL routing conflicts (slug collisions) due to heavy reliance on third-party plugins for custom post types. Additionally, scaling the design across multiple clinic locations manually was time-consuming and inconsistent. Solutions: As the Lead Custom WordPress Developer, I abandoned heavy plugins in favor of a lean, custom PHP approach. I engineered a custom Multisite architecture powered by Breakdance Builder, ensuring templates sync globally. I wrote custom PHP routing functions to handle complex custom post types, completely resolving native slug collisions and keeping permalinks clean for SEO. I integrated Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) so the client could dynamically update text/services without breaking the design. I developed a custom, toggleable Light and Dark mode UI that automatically respects user system preferences. Outcome: A highly optimized, blazing-fast web network with zero plugin bloat. The client now has a 1-click deployment system for new clinic branches, drastically reducing their scaling time. The custom routing resolved all prior 404 errors, resulting in a cleaner backend and adherence to top-tier technical SEO practices favored by US/UK markets.
