A WordPress site icon (aka favicon) is a unique icon (not a logo) associated with your site. It's displayed in the URL bar, on tabs, as a bookmark or home screen app icon when saved to a browser or phone, and anywhere else your site has to be identified visually.

This will make your site look more professional and it will increase your brand awareness.

I will create a simple (see gig gallery) WordPress site icon using your pre-made logo, or 1-2 letters, or a pre-made icon on a colored/transparent background. I won't design it from scratch or perform modifications to it.

WordPress requires a 512x512 size, but in most cases, very small sizes of the site icon will be used (e.g. 16x16).

So, you need something that will be clear enough to see/understand at very small sizes. Thus, 1-2 letters or a simple icon is ideal. Text or complex images will not be clear enough.
