I create the Gantt Chart in Excel by using the Chart options and tools specifically designed for visual data representation. This method provides a more professional and functional Gantt Chart.

Using Excel's charting features allows for dynamic progress bars, dependency lines, and automated updates, making the chart visually appealing and easy to manage compared to traditional cell highlighting.

Enter the start and end dates of the activity in the designated columns. The planned duration will be calculated and displayed on the Gantt Chart.

When you enter the actual start date of an activity, an empty progress bar (in grey) will appear on the Gantt Chart to represent the time allocated for that task.

The progress bar will fill (in blue) based on the completion percentage you enter for each activity. This visually indicates how much of the task has been completed.

Dependency lines with arrows can be added to show the relationship between tasks. These lines indicate that one task must be completed before the successor task can begin.
