About me
I am Yevhen Matviienko, a Ukrainian genealogist and archival researcher based in Kyiv, Ukraine. I specialize in documentary research of Ukrainian family history using primary archival sources. I research parish registers, birth, marriage and death records, confession records, revision lists and other historical documents. I was a principal co-author of the book Shevchenkiv Sad: Family Trees of Moryntsi and Kyrylivka, a major documentary study of Taras Shevchenko’s family history. I provide archival research, document transcription, analysis and English explanations for international clients.
