Are you in need of someone to edit your screenplay?
I'm Abigail, a professional copy editor and writer with over 5 years experience, and holder of a B.A. in Film & Digital Media. Are the edits by a person or a computer?
All edits are 100% manual!
How do you make your edits? Will it ruin my document?
I use the revision mode for both Word and Google Docs, which allows me to make edits to and rewrite your work while still preserving the original.
How quickly will my project be completed?
All projects will be completed in the time promised in your selected package. During this time, I will communicate with you on the status of my work and answer any questions you may have. I also offer rush orders! For custom projects, I will complete your project in the time agreed upon.
What is your experience with screenwriting?
I've been screenwriting for over 10 years, which have turned into successful short films and web series; I have been editing scripts for 5 years. Along with that, I hold a B.A. in Film & Digital Media and received all A's in intensive screenwriting, television writing, and and media studies courses.
What languages will you edit?
At this time, I only edit writings that are in English. However, I am conversational in both French and Russian, and will edit/translate/rewrite basic sentences if needed -- an example being a character in an English-language scirpt saying a small amount of dialogue in another language.
What if none of the packages fit my needs?
Please send me a message with what you're looking for as well as a word count -- I'm happy to create a custom package!
Are there any scripts you will not edit?
Please note that we as freelancers have the right to deny any project for any reason; while I accept the vast majority of projects, I will not edit anything that openly advocates for real-prejudice and violence. I will happily edit stage scripts, but please keep in mind this is a novice area for me.
